Most organisations are not short of data. They are short of a version of it that everyone agrees on. Our analytics work is about getting to that version: a data platform that is sound underneath, and reporting on top that decision-makers actually use.
We work in the Microsoft stack: Power BI for reporting and analysis, and Microsoft Fabric for the data engineering, warehousing and transformation beneath it.
What we do
- Power BI reporting and dashboards. Designing reports around the decisions they are meant to support, not around the data that happens to be available.
- Data modelling. Building semantic models that are consistent, performant and understandable, so numbers match across reports.
- Microsoft Fabric data platforms. Lakehouse and warehouse design, pipelines and transformation, so the data is clean before it reaches a report.
- Data transformation and migration. Moving from spreadsheets, legacy reporting or disconnected systems to a single, governed platform.
- Governance and ownership. Who owns which numbers, how changes are controlled, and how access is managed.
- Health checks. A short review of an existing Power BI or Fabric estate, with concrete recommendations.
Who this is for
- Finance, operations and leadership teams who spend too long reconciling spreadsheets.
- Organisations moving onto Fabric, or deciding whether to.
- Teams with Power BI in place that has grown without a plan.
Approach
We start with the questions you need answered, work back to the data that answers them, and build only what is needed to get there. Platforms are documented and handed over so your team can run and extend them.
Experience
Both principals work in this practice. Pawan Sharma has set up business intelligence functions and data platforms in investment banking and in scale-ups, and has led client migrations onto Microsoft Fabric. Marie Sartori has more than two decades of SQL Server, data warehousing and reporting work in financial services, including Power BI dashboards for asset management, alongside her cyber security practice.
